Personal Profile
As an experienced, fully accredited plastic and reconstructive surgeon, he is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council (GMC) for plastic surgery and is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Mr Sawyer’s undergraduate training was undertaken at Guys & St Thomas’s Hospital in London, having intercalated with a BSc first class in Physiology. He qualified in 1999 and trained as a plastic surgeon undertaking postgraduate training in London, Oxford and Salisbury.
Mr Sawyer completed an MSc in surgical science at Imperial College London and a medical law degree from De Montfort Law School in 2007.
Mr Adam Sawyer was awarded the FRCS (Plast) in 2014 and became a Fellow of the European board of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons (FEBOPRAS) in 2015.
He also spent time on fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, with overseas fellowships in Oslo, Dallas, Texas & Toronto.
Mr Sawyer's special interests include:
- Aesthetic surgery of the face including face & neck lift, ear corrections, eyelid correction
- Cosmetic breast surgery including breast enlargement, reduction & uplift, correction of nipple inversion
- Cosmetic body surgery including tummy tucks, liposuction, thigh lift and arm lift (brachioplasty)
- LASER skin surgery moles, scarring, vascular lesions and birth marks
- Benign and malignant skin surgery
- Non-surgical use of injection treatment and fillers for facial rejuvenation
- Injection treatment of excessive sweating
Mr Sawyer uses the cutting-edge Cristalix 3D imaging for breast enlargement to show patients what they will look like post-surgery and help them choose a size.
Mr Adam Sawyer holds clinics at The Winterbourne Hospital in Dorchester, seeing patients from Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
