Mr McCleary has been a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at York Hospital for over 20 years, having trained in Cambridge, Oxford, Leeds and Adelaide. He is currently treasurer of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
Most of his research has been in carotid disease, but Mr McCleary also has a keen interest in endovascular techniques for arterial and venous disease. He has embraced minimally invasive techniques for treating varicose veins that are often performed under local anaesthesia.
He also offers comprehensive management of hyperhidrosis and facial blushing. This includes injection of Botox, oral medications, thoracoscopic sympathectomy and retrodermal curretage.
