Clinical Interests
He co-discovered the first genetic association of the former and has provided the definitive genetic analysis for the latter. For this work, he was awarded a PhD from University College London, and the Syme Medal from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd).
He has received further awards from Moorfields Eye Hospital, the Royal College of Ophthalmologist and the RCSEd. He has authored over 40 peer reviewed publications and two book chapters.
He continues his research collaborations across the world, and is the research lead for ophthalmology at Southend University Hospital. He peer review papers for numerous medical journals and is a section editor for the journal Eye and Chair of Awards & Scholarship Subcommittee (RCOphth).
