Mrs Ami Shukla is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist and urogynaecologist in Northamptonshire, specialising in pelvic floor dysfunction, vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and urogynaecological problems.
Mrs Shukla holds weekly clinics at Three Shires Hospital, Northampton and covers all the aspects of Gynaecology and Urogynaecology as follows:

Mrs Shukla achieved her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in India. After coming to UK she became Member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1999. She then obtained MSc in medical Ultrasound and Diploma in Medical Law before going on to do research and published papers about Urodynamic studies and about Voiding dysfunction. She is a Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2010.
Mrs Shukla also works publicly for the Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and specialises in patients with bladder and pelvic organ problems. She is Head of the Department of Urogynaecology at Northampton General Hospital.
Mrs Shukla offers all non-surgical and surgical treatments for gynaecological and Urogynaecological problems. For surgical treatment options for prolapse, she does not use mesh routinely. For urinary incontinence, she can offer surgery with or without the use of a mesh.
She consults at Three shires hospital on:
- Tuesdays 6:30 pm till 8:00 pm
- Wednesdays 12:30 pm to 6: 00 pm
- Thursdays 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
