Mr Aswatha Ramesh graduated from Bangalore Medical College, India and moved to UK in 1994 to pursue his surgical career. He completed his Specialist Surgical training in Northwest of England and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). His research interests are in predicting outcome in colorectal surgery, for which he was awarded a higher degree (MD).
Mr Ramesh was appointed as Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon in 2007 at Wythenshawe hospital which is part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to treating a wide range of General and Colorectal conditions, he has a special interest in Laparoscopic surgery. He is involved in teaching medical students and training junior surgeons at Wythenshawe Hospital.
