Clinical Interests

Mr Budair’s practice encompasses all aspects of adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery including minimally invasive and keyhole surgery, Bunion and forefoot corrections, sports injuries, arthritis surgery including Ankle joint replacement and fusion, neuromuscular disorders, congenital pathologies and trauma. He also has a special interest in the orthopaedic management of diabetic foot conditions and is one of the few surgeons in the UK formally trained in reconstruction and limb salvage of complex diabetic foot deformities and infections.

For most Bunion (Hallux Valgus) and forefoot surgery, Mr Budair prefers to perform these operations using the WALANT (Wide Awake, Local Anaesthesia & No Tourniquet) technique, which has significant benefits for the patients including faster recovery, less post-operative pain and more importantly avoids the risks and complications of general anaesthesia.
