Mr Haughton is a Consultant Lower Limb Surgeon with a particular interest in complex and revision arthroplasty surgery. He completed a degree in Physiology at the University of Edinburgh before studying Medicine at Newcastle University.

Following posts as a Foundation Doctor in Northumberland, he moved back to his native Yorkshire to commence specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals and in 2014 won the John Fitton prize for the Best Presentation at the annual Yorkshire Registrars research meeting.

Here he developed further expertise in complex and revision lower limb arthroplasty surgery.
