In order to gain further expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery he completed extensive fellowship training in Toronto, Exeter and Derby and a travelling fellowship, sponsored by the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, visiting world experts in the USA at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Rush University in Chicago prior to commencing his Consultant post.
Mr Modi specialises in the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions. He has extensive experience in the latest arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques in the treatment of sports-related injuries, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, arthritis and elbow stiffness to enable accelerated rehabilitation and early return to activities. He also regularly treats painful arthritic conditions requiring joint replacement, including reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. Having published extensively within the field of shoulder and elbow surgery, he continues to teach and perform research to develop future treatments and guide decision-making.
