Personal Profile
He graduated in 1996 and trained in the UK and Republic of Ireland. He completed specialist clinical fellowships in the world’s leading microsurgery centre - Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and in University Hospital Birmingham, treating civilian and military burn injuries and trauma.
He has expertise in the broad range of cosmetic surgery. He is enrolled on the UK Specialist Register for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and is fully registered with the General Medical Council and Irish Medical Council. He holds the Royal Colleges’ FRCS (Plast) qualification and holds an MD research doctorate in scar treatment and laser surgery.
Ciaran O'Boyle has been published widely in the medical literature and has presented research papers across the world. He has supervised postgraduate research and is involved in setting up major NHS research projects in conjunction with the University of Nottingham. He regularly reviews research articles submitted to medical journals and conducts undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.
