Mr-Daniel-Sinitsky- General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon

Personal Profile

Daniel (Danny) Sinitsky is an Advanced Laparoscopic General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon with a particular expertise in surgery for reflux, the repair of hiatal hernia (including revision surgery), as well as the removal of gallbladders (cholecystectomy) and the repair of all types of hernia of the groin/abdominal wall. He will take time to ensure that you understand your condition and to only offer surgery when you feel that it really is the best option for you.

He excelled during his undergraduate training, having been awarded a First Class BSc with the highest score of the entire School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Leeds. He was subsequently awarded his medical degree with honours (a distinction for consistent outstanding performance). He was selected onto consecutive highly-competitive London postgraduate training programmes that saw him train at renowned institutions such as University College London Hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare and Guys’ & St Thomas’s NHS Trusts.

Danny has worked with the world’s most eminent General and Upper GI surgeons, such as Professor George Hanna and Professor Bijendra Patel, amongst others. He is well-regarded in the profession both in and around London, having worked as an NHS consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trusts.

Danny was awarded the degree of MD (Res) at University College London for his expertise in Surgical Education, and he has been committed to teaching the surgeons of tomorrow at Queen Mary University of London. He also has several first-author publications in renowned journals such as the American Journal of Surgery, and has presented at major international conferences in the field of surgical innovation.

Danny is extremely personable, relatable and professional, and his communication skills are outstanding. Here are some of the things his patients have written:

“…he was so kind and caring to think to call us to check on how we were”

“…went above and beyond…”

“Your care, dedication as well as professionalism is unmatchable”

In his spare time, Danny is a keen private pilot, which has led to a detailed understanding of safety and risk management. This translates to his work in and around the operating environment, by employing safety-enhancing behaviours and checklists to minimise risk and medical error.

Danny is also able to see Spanish-speaking patients with limited English.
