Mr David Lavalette is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the foot and ankle.
He graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School (Imperial College) in 1993.
His Orthopaedic training has been predominantly in the Yorkshire region, with a period of time spent in Bath. This training was complemented by a 6-month fellowship period working with a renowned surgeon in Melbourne, Australia.
Mr Lavalette was appointed a Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at Harrogate District Hospital in 2005. He has developed the foot and ankle service, introducing new procedures and techniques and is involved in the training of Orthopaedic surgeons having trainees attached to work with him.
He specialises in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and has particular interests in arthroscopic and endoscopic (keyhole) surgery, ankle joint replacement and 1st MTP joint (big toe) replacement, sports injuries and correction of deformity.
