He has over 10 years of training and clinical experience in the field of interventional cardiology which has largely driven his focus on coronary risk and prevention – encouraging holistic physical and mental wellbeing – as well as treatment.
He currently leads two cardiology out-patient clinics and a special cardiovascular disease prevention clinic, where he performs standard and complex percutaneous coronary intervention whilst providing training for junior doctors. He also performs computed tomography coronary angiography managing patients with low and intermediate risk for cardiovascular disease.
With a focus on new technology for the improvement of patient care, he is an investigator on a number of clinical trials conducted at Dorset County Hospital.
He is specialised in interventional cardiology and has expertise in many areas including: CT coronary angiography, echocardiography, coronary stenting, coronary angioplasty, cardiac catheterisation and coronary intravascular imaging.
Dr Boston-Griffiths also provides emergency heart-attack on-call service at The University Hospital Dorset. He also leads The Dorset Cardiology Practice which is a private practice specialising in cardiovascular disease prevention.
Dr Boston-Griffiths has a special interest in coronary risk and prevention and promotes mental, physical and holistic wellbeing in his treatment approach.
He sees patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, for example: hypertension, heart failure, heart valve disease, arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation and cardiomyopathy.
