Personal Profile
Mr Harnek Rai is a Consultant Gynaecologist with a special interest in Minimal access surgery and Urogynaecology. Having completed his training at Nottingham and Leicester Royal Infirmary, he spent two years in Australia. During this time he obtained specialist training in minimal access surgery and Urogynaecology.
Mr Rai returned to the UK in 2003 and became a Consultant Gynaecologist at Peterborough City Hospital and developed the Urogynaecology service and laparoscopic service in Peterborough and appointed a second consultant in Urogynaecology during this time.
Mr Rai left Peterborough City Hospital in June 2019 to go abroad and to have a break from the NHS and returned to the UK in March 2020 and became a Consultant at Worcester Royal Hospital in April 2020.
As part of the Urogynaecology team, he's able to offer a complete service to women with either Urinary or Prolapse symptoms.
With a background of minimal access training, Mr Rai is also able to offer a comprehensive General Gynaecology service including investigation and management of menstrual problems, pelvic pain and management of fibroids.
