He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1983 and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
In the last 20 years, Mr Abouzeid has developed more skills and experience in gynaecological subspecialties. He received the RCOG’s certificate in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgery, accreditation for Colposcopy from the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), and RCOG’s advanced training in Gynaecological Ultrasonography.
Mr Abouzeid is a specialist in minimally invasive surgery for gynaecology, he obtained the Master Degree in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from Surrey University.
Currently, Mr Abouzeid is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He is taking the lead in gynaecological endoscopy in the Trust and is the lead for gynaecological oncology at Rochdale Infirmary. He is also the Lead Gynaecologist in Greater Manchester Clinical Assessment and Treatment Centres (CATS).
Mr Abouzeid’s wife is a psychiatrist, and he has two children; a boy and a girl. Both he and his children enjoy playing squash, and he and his son also share a passion for football. The family spend their holidays touring the world, exploring its different magnificent cultures.
