Personal Profile

Mr Ihab Wissa was graduated in Egypt in 1987 where he accomplished his basic training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. In 1995, Ihab moved to the UK and went through the extensive UK training programme designed for the junior doctors and which allowed him to achieve the expertise and skills to achieve the CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) & become a UK consultant in 
2005.

His specialist training was in the South East London; including Guys & St Thomas, Princess Royal University hospital, Queen Mary’s & Queen Elizabeth hospitals. Mr Wissa has achieved an outstanding standard in gynaecological surgery; and is an expert in the management of all clinical scenarios commonly encountered in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. 

He is an expert in laparoscopic & hysteroscopic (Minimal Access) gynaecological surgery. His interest started very early in his career in Egypt, and continued to grow throughout his training and 
practice in the UK. Mr Wissa has advanced certificates in “Keyhole” laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery from the RoyalCollege in London. 

He has extensive experience in management of period problems and irregularities, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, fertility related disorders and early pregnancy problems. He offers cancer diagnostics and screening for pre-cancerous conditions including cervical smear & HPV test, colposcopy, vulval dysplasia’s and post-menopausal bleeding. 

Mr Wissa has been applauded by his patients and colleagues for being quite empathetic with excellent listening and communication skills. 

He speaks 3 languages fluently : English, French & Arabic.
