Professional Profile

Mr Parker graduated from Leeds Medical School with honours in 2000. Following his surgical basic training, he was appointed to the Yorkshire orthopaedic training programme in 2005. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and was added to the Specialist Register for Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2011, he undertook two fellowships during this period.

Working with Professor London in Harrogate in 2011, Mr Parker gained expertise in all aspects of knee surgery. In 2012, prior to his appointment at Calderdale, he undertook an arthroplasty fellowship in York, specialising in all forms of hip and knee replacement.

In his personal life, Mr Parker enjoys spending most of his time outside of work with his wife and two young sons. He is a keen runner and has run several marathons and half marathons. He plays golf regularly and maintains a single figure handicap.
