Professional Profile
Dr Jenny Messenger is a Respiratory Medicine Consultant who can help with general respiratory and General (Internal) Medicine conditions. Her specialist interests include asthma, lung cancer (including interventional bronchoscopy) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Dr messenger sees patients from Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham, Chichester, West Sussex and beyond.
She is the lead for lung cancer and clinical director for speciality medicine at University Hospitals Sussex East and the clinical Co-chair of the Lung pathway group at the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance.
Jenny has been the course director for several successful thoracic ultrasound courses and has a keen interest in medical education. She is the training programme director for acute medicine for the HE KSS deanery and sits on the national specialist advisory committee for acute medicine. She is one of the clinical directors for the Targeted Lung Health Checks national screening programme. She is actively involved in several clinical research trials.
Jenny lives in Brighton with her partner, two children and her dog. Her spare time is spent enjoying country walks, going to the theatre and cinema and spending time with friends and family. She loves visiting new places around the world.
