Personal Details

Mr Joseph Nattey is a specialist in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology with special interest in:

  • General gynaecology,
  • Vaginal and abdominal surgery,
  • Urogynaecology
  • Operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopic(keyhole) surgery.

He is currently the lead for Urogynaecology at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Originally trained in Ghana for his basic medical training and after few years of work relocated to pursue further training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK. He obtained his Membership for the Royal College of Obstetrician and gynaecologists.

He is also a member of the British Society of Urogynecologists.

IUGA and EUGA.

Through his training Mr Nattey has developed operative skills in general gynaecology including laparoscopic (keyhole) operations and advanced training in Urogynaecology and vaginal surgery. He also specialised in therapeutic hysteroscopy procedures.

Mr Nattey currently collaborates with both regional and local multidisciplinary teams for best treatment options for very complex cases.

Mr Nattey is passionate about teaching and as such supports the Buckingham Medical School and Oxford University medical students with lectures and tutorials as well as practical illustrations. He has a been a very resourceful supervisor of junior and senior doctors during their advanced training in operative hysteroscopy and urogynaecology.

Mr Nattey integrates with the community by giving lectures on gynaecology related topics like Menopause and its management, prolapse and urinary incontinence, Vaginal pains and menstrual disorders.

He has also been supporting the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with peer reviews of their academic articles.
