Personal Profile
Dr Kimberley Powell graduated from Southampton Medical School in 2010 and went on to complete her Foundation and GP Training in and around Brighton. During her GP training she developed a particular interest in Elderly Medicine and gained experience working in a range of related placements including dementia care and older age psychiatry.
Her GP training provided her with invaluable experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology and Accident and Emergency. During her Obstetrics and Gynaecology placement, she completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
While working in Brighton, Dr Powell enjoyed volunteering with the Royal National Lifeboat Service, providing medical examinations for the crew.
Dr Powell has provided out of hours care with Medvivo and she currently divides her time between Private and NHS General Practice. She takes a patient-centred approach to consulting and understands the importance of listening and addressing a person’s individual concerns.
Outside of work she enjoys managing her allotment and walking her dog.
