Mr Matthew Oluwole is a highly-experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist expertise in the management of nasal and sinus disease, including snoring and sleep apnoea. Based at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield, he offers individually-tailored medical, surgical and educational services designed to involve patients in the management of their condition and help them find the most appropriate treatment solution.

He had broad training in all aspects of ear, nose and throat surgery, in particular keyhole and endoscopic sinus surgery. Qualifying in 1983, his post-graduate training encompassed Northern England and Dundee, and followed exposure in the West Midlands and stints in North America. Working in the West Midlands, Mr Oluwole gained experience in all aspects of ENT surgery in general, while developing a special interest and expertise in rhinology and snoring. He attended training courses in the UK, Europe and North America and in 1998 understudied the world-famous Professor Wolfgang Draf in Germany.

Mr Oluwole has carried out over 8000 endoscopic sinus surgical procedures.

Since 2016, Mr Oluwole has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In over 20 years as a Consultant in Darlington, Birmingham and Sheffield, he has carried out over 8,000 endoscopic (keyhole) sinus (and snoring) surgical procedures. These have been audited with commendable outcomes.

Mr Oluwole is committed to offering an experienced, safe and competent service to people with nasal, sinus and snoring problems, providing all the information needed to help them make informed choices in a fair and honest way. In many cases, nasal and sinus conditions can be treated medically. In the comprehensive assessment of snoring, he works with Consultant Chest Physicians.

He lectures on post-graduate sinus surgery courses and has worked extensively with GPs, running local seminars and meetings, and lecturing on national BMA GP update programmes.
