Mr Karski’s research interest in ankle replacement surgery includes him being Primary investigator on the Wrightington site, in a nationally funded multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trial of ankle replacement versus ankle arthrodesis and in a clinical research project at Wrightington regarding outcome measures. Previous research in this area has been published in the British Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has also implemented an enhanced recovery protocol (enabling earlier mobilisation and discharge) for people having ankle replacement surgery.
Mr Karski is regularly invited to teach on National and International courses regarding foot and ankle surgery including surgery for foot and ankle sports injuries and ankle replacement surgery.
