Personal profile
He graduated from Dundee University in 1996, during which time he took a year out to study Forensic Medicine. After this, he undertook his higher surgical training in the North West of England. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999, and then an lntercollegiate Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2005, and was awarded the certificate of completion of specialist surgical training in 2008.
Mr Watmough was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Bolton Hospital in January 2009. During his last year of training he undertook a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Wrightington, working closely with one of the co-designers of modern ankle replacements.
