Dr Paul D Jackson is a consultant physician specialising in Sports and Exercise Medicine. This includes the non-surgical management of a wide range of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions not associated with sport as well as injuries from sport. He has a particular interest in understanding why patients have become injured and helping them with injury prevention measures. He has experience in managing work related MSK problems, recurrent injuries, and injuries where the underlying cause is not clear.

Dr Jackson first qualified in Medicine in 1982 from the University of London, completed a Diploma in Sports Medicine in 1992 and was the first Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK) when it was established in 2006.
Dr Jackson has worked with international sports teams and GB Olympic teams based at the University of Bath and has been team doctor for national teams including the England Cricket team, GB Davis Cup team, England Rugby 7s Team and GB Olympic Modern Pentathlon, Bobsleigh and Bobskeleton teams. He has consulted at the Ridgeway Hospital and Bath Clinic for over 30 years.
All fully qualified specialists in Sport & Exercise Medicine have met the requirements of the Higher Specialist Training curriculum and have Fellowship of the Faculty of Sport Exercise Medicine as a post-nominal - FFSEM
