Dr Peter Enwere is a highly skilled consultant geriatrician with over 20 years of experience in general internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He has been working within Ashford and St. Peters Hospital NHS Foundation trust as a consultant geriatrician for the past 7 years, where he has made significant contributions to the field.

Currently, Dr Enwere is the clinical lead for Senior Adult Medical Services (SAMS) Department and also the clinical lead for Dementia and Delirium. He has an excellent track record in managing complex medical conditions in older adults and is renowned for his exceptional care of patients suffering from dementia and delirium.

Dr Enwere qualified from the prestigious Medical University of Pécs, Hungary, in 2001. Prior to relocating to the UK in late 2004, he worked at the University Teaching Hospital, Faculty of Medicine in Pécs, Hungary. He has been practising medicine in the UK since then, working within the NHS.

In 2021, Dr Enwere achieved the prestigious Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Geriatric and Medical Gerontology through the renowned European Academy for Medicine of Ageing. This achievement further cements his reputation as a leading expert in the field of geriatric medicine.

Dr Enwere is an educational and clinical supervisor with a background in teaching, coaching, and mentoring skills. He was awarded first prize for the consultant ACE (Acknowledging Consistent Excellence) in 2020 for his immense contribution in teaching junior doctors in training and medical students from St. Georges and Imperial medical universities. His dedication to teaching and training the next generation of doctors has been widely recognised and appreciated.

He has also made significant contributions to the field of geriatric medicine through his publications in well-known journals. He has co-authored and personally published articles in respected geriatric journals, which have been recognised for their significant impact on the field. These publications showcase his expertise and commitment to advancing the field of geriatric medicine and ensuring that the latest research and best practices are accessible to healthcare professionals. Dr Enwere's dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest research and sharing his knowledge through publications further solidifies his reputation.

In 2012, Dr Enwere was awarded the Patient First award for his dedication and passion towards direct patient care. This award recognise his commitment to providing high-quality care to his patients and putting their needs first. Furthermore, through his collaborative work with colleagues on service improvement and patient experience, his team has won multiple awards, including the Excellence in Patient-Centred Care Team Award from the Royal College of Physicians and the PENNA Team Award for Measuring, Reporting, and Acting.
