Personal Profile
After graduating from the University of Glasgow, Dr Northcote was trained in Glasgow and attained an MD in 1986. He has been performing coronary angioplasty for more than twenty years and has pioneered several interventional treatments in Scotland. He has published widely on the treatment of coronary artery disease and the cardiac effects of exercise, the latter gaining international recognition.
Professionally, he spent 9 years as Clinical Director in Medicine at the Victoria Infirmary and the Southern General Hospital and in 2010, became the Registrar at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
