Personal Profile

Miss Roopa Bangari is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Medway Maritime Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Kent. Miss Bangari completed her medical graduation and postgraduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Mysore, India in 1999. She has been working in UK since 2007 and has over 20 years of experience. Ms Bangari was awarded Membership of Royal college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in 2012. She also has Colposcopy accreditation since 2012. 

Ms Bangari specialises in Gynae Oncology, Colposcopy for management of abnormal smears, fibroids, endometriosis, miscarriage, polycystic ovaries, menopause, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and adolescent Gynaecology. Her special interests include Loop excision, minimally invasive surgery like key-hole laparoscopic/ hysteroscopic surgery. 

Miss Bangari is the Lead for Clinical Governance at Medway Maritime Hospital. She is also the Lead for Women’s Health Undergraduate teaching for both Kings College London (KCL) and KMMS (Kent and Medway Medical School). She has received various commendation letters from the Dean of Kings College London for her teaching excellence. 

Miss Bangari is an approved health care provider for leading UK medical insurance companies. She is multilingual and is fluent in Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.
