Dr Ruth Mew was appointed as a Consultant General Paediatrician in 2014 and has worked at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust, Chertsey, since 2015. She has lots of clinical expertise in managing a wide range of general paediatric conditions both in clinic and a Children & Young People's Emergency Department. She is experienced and has looked after children with all types of problems.
Dr Ruth Mew has a special interest in all types of respiratory and allergy conditions. She is the Paediatric Respiratory Lead and delivers a popular allergy service.
Dr Mew studied Medicine at the University of Bristol. After training in Paediatrics in London Hospitals including St Mary's Hospital, University College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Evelina Children's Hospital, she completed a Masters Degree in Allergy at Imperial College, London. She is an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for Trainee Doctors and an Appraiser for Consultant colleagues.
