Ms Seema Dutta has 20 years experience within the field of Gynaecology and Women's Health. She is a practising Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Urogynaecology and Early Pregnancy Problems. 

Ms Dutta specialises in pelvic floor dysfunction, birth related injuries, vaginal prolapse and female urinary incontinence. She provides care to women with complex urogynaecological conditions, including primary and recurrent pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Ms Dutta also provides specialist care for women presenting with perineal problems, including postpartum complications, early pregnancy complications, menstrual disorders and menopausal problems. 

Ms Seema Dutta has performed numerous and various urogynaecological procedures including vaginal repair operations, uterovaginal prolapse repairs, female stress urinary incontinence procedures, native tissue incontinence procedures, laparoscopic incontinence procedures, perineal operations, urodynamics including video urodynamics, laparoscopic gynaecological investigation procedure and hysteroscopic procedures. With a special interest in Early Pregnancy, she also performs early pregnancy scanning for women presenting with early pregnancy problems

Ms Dutta is the lead for perineal care within urogynaecology at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, working with other multidisciplinary professionals to provide a holistic care for women presenting with such problems. She leads the team in Quality Improvement Project for Birth related injuries and pelvic floor trauma within Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Ms Dutta is also an honorary Consultant at Milton Keynes University Hospital

She completed her specialist training from renowned institutes namely, Northwick Park and St Mark's Hospital, and St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare, London. During her training and tenure, she has also earned awards. Ms Dutta has been actively involved in various completed and on-going research projects. She has completed more than 20 different audits and quality improvement projects, with aim to improving care for our patients. Ms Dutta has taken an active role in research projects during her specialist training, relevant to her practice and published articles in urogynaecology journals. Some of the articles include:
- 'Prevalence and risk factors for symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse using ICIQ-VS questionnaire: results from Twins UK adult twin registry – Neurourology and Urodynamics, 2013. 
- 'Diagnostic accuracy of real-time endosonographic elastography for detecting anal sphincter defects in women – Int Urogynaecol J. 2012.

Teaching has always been one of her great passions and strengths as evidence from her positive feedback received following her teaching sessions. Ms Dutta also has completed her Masters in Healthcare and Medical Education. She is also a committee member of the Education committee of our International Urogynaecology Assocaition with a keen interest in reviewing and improving e- learning modules, webinars and workshops at IUGA and including developing new resources that has been helpful for the society
 
With her training and experience, Ms Dutta has imbibed the qualities essential for successfully performing in a multidisciplinary team environment in order to deliver best quality of care to the patients. She always enjoys a good working relationship with her team members while working in a multidisciplinary team in one of the busy units in the country. She has been always commended on her commitment, enthusiasm and good interpersonal skills as evident from her 360 degree feedback and appraisals. 

Ms Dutta always strongly believes and provides sensitive and holistic women-centred care, empowering women with choice of options to the management of their problems.
