Personal Profile
He joined Ashford and St Peters Hospital (ASPH) in 2014 as a Respiratory consultant, where he introduced multiple new services such as Ambulatory Pleural Service and Medical Thoracoscopy which are highly regarded services. He has also set up collaborative Multi-disciplinary team( MDT) meeting with Royal Brompton Hospital to improve the care of patients with Pulmonary Fibrosis at ASPH. He has also set up local MDTs to coordinate and improve care for patients with diagnosis such as TB and Sleep apnoea.
As the lead for Respiratory Medicine at ASPH, he led the departmental response to the Covid-19 Pandemic and have developed expertise in acute as well as Chronic/Long Covid. He led the development of Trust Covid management guidelines with regular updates during the ongoing pandemic. He was involved in development of a novel ambulatory management pathway for Covid patients. This was commended by NHSE and subsequently adopted in Surrey wide primary care services during second and third waves.
He has received Clinical Excellence awards in 2017 and 2020.
