Mr Shaukat Mahmood is a Consultant Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon with a private practice focused on dento-aveolar conditions including impacted wisdom teeth surgery. He has a specialist interest in salivary gland and skin cancer surgery.
He offers a number of procedures relating to the mouth, head and neck which include removal of salivary glands (parotid and submandibular surgery), removal of skin lesions from the head and neck region and lymph node biopsies from the neck.
Training and Appointment
Mr Mahmood studied in medicine and general surgery before embarking on a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed his higher maxillofacial surgery training in Edinburgh and Glasgow and has worked in the NHS as a consultant since 2004.
Current Practice
Currently, Mr Mahmood holds a position NHS Grampian as well as his private practice at Albyn Hospital and has published a number of oral and maxillofacial articles and case studies relating to his practice.
