She completed her Dermatology training in Sheffield and is currently working at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital as a Consultant Dermatologist with a special interest in patch testing (for eczema type allergies).
Dr Gaikwad sees adult patients privately at Thornbury Hospital. She has a wide range of experience, from diagnosing and treating skin cancers, to inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and urticaria, as well as managing hair loss disorders and problems with pigmentation. In addition, she has done Cosmetic training on Harley Street, London, and is able to offer botulinum injections for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) at Thornbury.
She also offers cryotherapy, surgical removal of skin lesions and intralesional steroid injections for alopecia areata and hypertrophic/keloid scars.
