Mr Steven Hamilton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a practice focused on arthritic conditions/sport injuries affecting the hip and knee. He is one of the surgeons that can offer robotic assisted hip and knee replacement which is known to benefit patients with quicker recovery and less pain after surgery. Mr Hamilton offers a number of procedures relating to the knee which include keyhole (arthroscopic) knee surgery, ligament (Anterior Cruciate Ligament - ACL) reconstruction, cartilage repair (meniscal surgery), leg realignment (High Tibial Osteotomy) and knee stabilization procedures which prevent recurrent dislocation (Patellar stabilization/trochleoplasty). He can also offer Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or Platelet-rich Plasma (PrP) injections during consultation.
Training and Appointment
Mr Hamilton completed his Basic Surgical Training in Glasgow and Fellowship training in Melbourne, before moving to Aberdeen where he completed Higher Surgical Training and then was appointed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2010.
Current Practice
Mr Hamilton holds a position within NHS Grampian as well as his private practice at Albyn Hospital and has published a number of orthopaedic articles and case studies relating to his practice.
