Dr Edwards trained as specialist registrar in Cardiology at Southampton General Hospital and other hospitals in the Wessex region.
He then studied as Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Devices and Electrophysiology at the Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne before taking up his current post as Consultant Cardiologist at Dorset County Hospital.
He is currently Clinical Director of Cardiology at Dorset County Hospital and clinical lead for the Heart Failure, Arrhythmia and Device service.
Dr Edwards has performed first UK implants for the latest generation implantable defibrillators and heart failure pacemakers at Dorset County Hospital and is principle investigator for several international trials and registries.
