Personal Profile
Professionally, following his completion of training in Gastroenterology from Leicester, he gained advanced training in Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound for a year in Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, followed by an Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship in St Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, which is one of the 16 hospitals worldwide recognised by OMED for education in therapeutic endoscopy and GI oncology.
His special interest is in Advanced Endoscopy including ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound, Coeliac plexus block, Therapeutic Colonoscopy including Endomucosal resection and polypectomy. He also trained in double balloon enteroscopy and oesophageal Endomucosal resection.
Dr Thomas' other interests include Barrett’s Oesophagus, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Peptic Ulcer Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic disorders.
