Dr Vinay Ketkar has worked at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust since 2004 and has clinics and injection/ procedure lists at the hospital every week. He also works in the Functional Restoration Program for Chronic Pain His main interest is in the non -surgical treatment of back pain and spinal problems including coccyx pain and sacro-iliac joint dysfunction. He also has extensive experience of treating other musculoskeletal and sports injuries using a variety of techniques including injections, shockwave and regenerative treaments such as PRP and Prolotherapy
Dr Ketkar trained at the University of Birmingham in the West Midlands. He has worked at Birmingham University, East Lancashire Hospitals and for the Armed Forces at the RRU RAF Cosford in the past and also has sports medicine experience in working for British Gymnastics, GB Para-archery and is the Chief Medical Officer for Warwickshire County Cricket Club and team physician for Leicester City Football Club Women's Team.
He is a tutor on the Spinal module of the UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) MSC in Musculoskeletal medicine course and was previously a tutor and module lead for the B.I.M.M. (British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine) course and examiner for the DMSMED examination in London.
