Personal Profile
Wendy Craig is a Consultant General Surgeon with an NHS practice based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Westmorland General Hospital, and private practice at The Lancaster Hospital. She has over twenty years’ NHS experience, with nearly ten as a Consultant.
Her undergraduate training was completed in Aberdeen, with later surgical training posts around Scotland, completing higher training in the North East of Scotland in 2013 with a subsequent fellowship in Cardiff. Her training was further augmented with short clinical fellowships in Europe and Canada.
During training, she acquired further qualifications with a public health focus at both Masters and Doctorate level; this has then underpinned her desire to solve problems throughout healthcare, and perhaps her current clinical director role in the local NHS Trust.
