Personal profile

Dr Robertson trained in Leicester University Medical School, completing his studies in 2011. He holds a Bachelor's in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Leeds, alongside the Diploma of Occupational Medicine.

He completed his GP training in the Mid-Yorkshire region in 2017, picking up considerable experience in Elderly Medicine, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and General Medicine. To round out his experience, he had a sabbatical in 2019 running a rural hospital and emergency department on the East Coast of Tasmania.

Dr Robertson’s particular interests include men’s health (especially the growing work on testosterone deficiency), sports medicine, urgent care, asthma, COPD, and Long Covid. With his Occupational Medicine qualification, he is certified to complete the vast majority of work/management referrals as well as travel-related forms within a timely manner.

Dr Robertson is currently an NHS GP in North Yorkshire, where he holds the position of Clinical Lead of Urgent Care and Cardiovascular Prevention, as well as being one of the Lead Advisers to Wakefield Primary Care. He is also the National Chair for the Royal College of General Practitioners on Sustainability within Primary Care.

He believes the role of a good GP is to be the patient’s advocate in all things medical. As a result, he prides himself on his ability to organise the patient’s health journey, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and reassured at all times.

Outside of medicine, Dr Robertson enjoys a wide variety of sports, including cycling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and anything outside. He enjoys travel, wine, and spending time with his young family.
