Personal profile

Mr Saeed is Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery.

He undertook his medical degree from University of Bristol and completed it with Honours in 2009. He completed his basic surgical training in South Wales before moving to Yorkshire for his specialist Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He completed his training in 2021 and subsequently went on a Hand and Wrist fellowship at Chesterfield Royal Hospital working with Mr Joe Garcia and Mr Apurv Sinha.

His training and fellowship has given him the experience in a breadth of orthopaedic hand and wrist surgery, including sporting hand and wrist injuries, Dupuytren's contracture, hand and wrist arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, TFCC injuries, painful lumps and bumps in the hand, peripheral nerve compressions, tendon disorders, nail pathologies and malunion correction. 

In October 2022 he was appointed as a Hand and Wrist Orthopaedic Consultant at Harrogate District Hospital where he currently maintains a very busy elective and trauma practice.

In addition to his clinical interests, he is actively involved in teaching trainee surgeons and supervising junior doctors at different stages of their training and development. He also is actively involved in research with numerous publications in the field of orthopaedics. 

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
