Mr Chris Cody

personal profile

Mr Chris Cody is a Consultant Orthotist specialising in biomechanics, gait analysis and the orthotic management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
He qualified with a first-class honours degree in 2006, undertaking rotations across Oxford University Hospitals and at Sophies Minde Orthopaedics in Oslo, Norway.

He began his career at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, was Clinical Lead Orthotist at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton and St George’s University Hospital, Tooting, before taking up his current role as Clinical Lead & Head of Regional Orthotic Services for Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2016. Here he provides strategic planning, coordination and delivery of the adult and children’s regional orthotic services for both Guy’s & St Thomas’ and Kings College Hospitals.

Alongside his busy NHS practice, Chris also has a keen interest in healthcare technology and innovation, providing clinical consultancy for several start-up companies developing healthcare solutions focused on introducing 3D scanning, printing, AI and innovative technologies into the orthotic industry. This has involved clinical consultations, research and development, ethics, and product design.
Chris provides a friendly and professional patient-centred orthotic service and works closely with a strong network of the very best orthotic product suppliers.
Chris aims to offer orthotic treatment that help patients manage their condition and increase their independence with the activities of daily living, and to compliment other therapeutic treatment goals by closely aligning with other consultants, case managers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
