Personal Profile
He trained at both Imperial College and Kings College London and holds both qualifications in medicine and dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
His current NHS work is at London Northwest University NHS trust, where he is also the clinical lead in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He also works at Imperial College NHS trust and Hillingdon Hospital NHS trust. His NHS practice involves oral surgery, facial trauma/injuries and skin cancer work. He is part of the two multidisciplinary teams in Northwest London, one for treating skin cancers and the other for treating complex facial injuries and reconstruction. He also has a specialist interest in salivary gland disease and sialendoscopy (a minimally invasive technique). He can investigate and treat other oral and maxillofacial conditions, including, facial pain, oral medicine/pathology/ulcers, temporomandibular joint disorders, dental extractions, dental and jaw cysts and lumps and bumps within the head and neck.
Indran has also an academic interest and he has previously held positions as a college tutor at Oxford University (Keble College) and a research fellow at Imperial College London. Indran has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work nationally and internationally. He has been awarded the research grant from the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and held the role of the lead for trauma specialist interest group for the association.
Outside of work he is an avid cyclist and has travelled the length of England. He has also cycled different parts of the world including Sri Lanka, Canada and Europe. He likes to cook in his spare time and regularly showcases his culinary skills to family and friends.
