Personal Profile

Mano Sira is presently a NHS Consultant Oculoplastic & Ophthalmic Surgeon at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals (based at Lancashire Eye Centre, Chorley and Preston) where he sub-specialises in eyelid plastic and reconstructive, orbital (thyroid eye disease) and lacrimal (tear drainage) surgery. 

As a regional expert, Mr Sira receives tertiary referrals from the whole of Lancashire and South Cumbria. 

He was previously Consultant Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgeon (locum), Western Eye Hospital, Imperial College NHS Trust, London and Consultant Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgeon (locum), Bristol Eye Hospital.

Mano Sira was educated at Imperial College and Oxford University and undertook his residency and fellowship training in London and European centres of excellence including Moorfields, East Grinstead and Marienhospital-Stuttgart, Germany.

Mr Sira is a gentle and meticulous surgeon of over 10 years NHS Consultant experience with a practice that is focused on delivering excellence in patient care, safety and surgical results.  

He specialises in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid plastic surgery such as removing eye bags and correcting hooded or droopy lids, anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections as well as cataract surgery and clear lens extraction (designed for patients who wish to reduce or eliminate the need for distance glasses or contact lenses, it can be used to treat a wide range of far-sightedness, near-sightedness and astigmatism). 

Mr Sira also provides specialist medical and surgical treatment of watery or dry eyes as well as skin lesion biopsy and diagnosis, excision (Mohs’) and reconstruction.
