Mr Peter Mekhail

He was awarded his medical Degree (MBChB) in 2001. His basic surgical training was undertaken in England and Wales and his higher Surgical training was undertaken in Aberdeen.

He was awarded The royal College of Surgeon’s Fellowship in Bariatric and complex laparoscopic Upper GI Surgery, at the first bariatric centre of Excellent outside USA in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, Somerset.

During his fellowship, he gained extensive experience in complex weight loss and Upper GI Surgery.

He is a specialist in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery including bariatric/weight loss surgery (gastric bypass, gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, intragastric balloon) and anti-reflux surgery. He also performs general surgical procedures including key-hole surgery, abdominal wall hernia repairs and removal of the gallbladder.

He is actively involved with medical education with university of Aberdeen and was awarded a postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education in 2018.
