Personal Profile
Miss Ashraff is a UK-trained Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic & Hand Surgeon. She is on the General Medical Council Specialist Registrar for plastic surgery and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons.
Miss Ashraff graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London in 2000 and was awarded academic excellence prizes. She also has a bachelor in Medical Sciences and a Masters in Surgical Science undertaken during her training. She has been practising plastic surgery since 2006.
She undertook her specialist training program in London and has worked at many prestigious plastic surgery units including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. She has also undertaken a fellowship in paediatric plastic surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and has worked under mentorship with cosmetic surgeons to hone her training. She currently works at Northampton General Hospital as a NHS consultant and undertakes plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery. She has been involved in both practical and theoretical training of junior doctors as well as nursing staff and hand therapists.
At the Three Shires, she will be undertaking minor dermatological procedures under local anaesthetic, combining her reconstructive surgical techniques to enhance surgical results. She will also undertake soft tissue hand surgery and management of problems such as carpal tunnel, trigger finger and Dupuytren’s disease. She will also offer limited cosmetic procedures such as scar revision with lipofilling if required and liposuction. She does not offer a mole mapping service nor does she diagnose generalised skin conditions or undertake bony hand and any wrist surgery.
She aims to deliver unique patient centred exceptional care to all her patients mixed in with some good humour. She believes that an open and honest discussion regarding all options, including not having surgery, is important before embarking upon a treatment plan.
