Mr Timothy Bates

Mr Timothy Bates graduated from Nottingham Medical School in 1987 with honours and underwent surgical training in Bristol and the South-West. He was awarded a Master's degree from the University of Bristol for research into the molecular genetics of prostate cancer.

He has been a Consultant Urologist in Bath for over 10 years.

Mr Bates has received specialist training in the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer, urinary stone disease and complex urinary tract reconstruction.
He is clinical lead for Governance and Risk Management in the department of Urology. He plays an active role in surgical training and is a member of the regional training committee.

Prior to being appointed in Bath, Mr Bates completed a paediatric surgical fellowship in Oxford. He has expertise in a broad range of urological conditions including benign and malignant prostate disease.
