Kulvinder Talewar is a Highly Specialised physiotherapist with extensive experience in the treatment of complex Vestibular disorders, Neurological conditions and Balance. She established a new Adult Vestibular Service in 2007 - to date (Vertigo Clinic) within the NHS, delivering customised vestibular rehabilitation, and has worked in adult Neurology for 28 years. She assists in designing ENT referral pathways in conjunction with ENT Consultants to ensure appropriate and prompt referrals to Specialist Physiotherapy Services. She has been the Clinical Lead for Vestibular Rehabilitation in the NHS for 20 years providing treatment, support and training to an exemplary level.
Kulvinder provides tailored private physiotherapy for those with a diverse range of Balance, Vestibular and Neurological conditions in both outpatients and in the home setting. She was an Executive member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Vestibular rehabilitation (ACPIVR) from 2007 – 2014 raising awareness, teaching and learning about up-to-date evidence based practice in Vestibular rehabilitation.
She has depth knowledge in Neurological Rehabilitation completing her Master’s degree at Brunel University with her dissertation being published in 2019, on living with a vestibular disorder. She was invited to present this select research on a Global stage at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) 2017 in Cape Town, South Africa and currently remains an abstract reviewer for the WCPT.
Kulvinder has recently set up a Paediatric Concussion and Dizziness service in 2019 at the Portland Children’s Hospital, London and worked for the last four and half years in the Balance Centre as the Lead Vestibular Specialist at the Wellington Hospital, London (the UK’s largest private hospital HCA Healthcare). Other areas include the management of concussion.
Kulvinder provides private Specialist Vestibular services for ENT Consultants, Audiologists, Neurologists and physiotherapists. She recently published an article on vestibular migraine in May 2022 and continues to provide evidence based practice to an outstanding degree.
